Care for people with special needs

Attended a talk in the Basel Church yesterday.

Just as I was wondering whether there is anybody who cares for people with disabilities, there was this division in Malaysian Care that provides service for people with special needs. 3 ladies shared about the services, which is unfortunately centered around KL.

Basel Church is taking the challenge to set up a toy library. I suspect they will never let Ryan become a member. Ryan breaks his toys within a month.

Was there any talk about setting such a centre up in KK?

Yes. I would like to confirm that We from BCCM,KK are going to set up a Toy Library & Family Support & Resource Service in KK for special needs children. I will post more information about the Library as time to come.

I gladly wish Ryan can be a member of our coming Toy Library. If he breaks the toys, we will replace them as long as he likes to play them. We welcome Ryan.

Hi george I wonder how you found this blog.

Toys are not cheap these days. How is the toy library going to sustain... i c find it difficult to sustain ryan's toy-breaking ways. hahaha...

From the experience of our partner; Malaysian care, they say one way to counter the toy-breaking situation is to have a more durable toys which are not off the shelves at any normal toy shops. This requires special selection and order.

Our toy library will have special order toys and we are looking forward to have Ryan to our coming toy library. :-)

Michael,

Please do feel free to join the group of Toy Library & Parent Support Resource Service on FB for any development update of the Library.
