Nice weekend in 1Borneo

The top Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the country gathered in Kota Kinabalu over the last weekend for the 19th Congress of the O&G Society of Malaysia.

What better venue can they find than the 1Borneo Hypermall? Hotel, conference room, shopping, cinema... all under one roof. There was even a dog show on the last day.

I had a great weekend participating in the event. 4 days of listening to presentations by renowned speakers, eating like there's no tomorrow (they even thrown in a BBQ dinner in Shangri-la Tanjung Aru), collecting stuffs from the booths... and away from work.

Won the 2nd prize of the Free Paper presentation and took home RM750 :-).

And won an iPod Shuffle 1GB from the booths... :-) I know la, cheap stuff, but that's my FIRST iPod OK. Pretty neat toy, light and slim, and plays great sounds. Good for bringing along to jogging or the gym (which I went for the first time just now, just to try out the iPod).

There was a banquet on the final night. We were supposed to dress formal, or Sabah ethnicities costume. Formal is boring. So... we dressed to the 1Malaysia motto.

Hahaha... had to borrow the black-and-gold shirt from Uncle Sualim. Ryan had the Gong-xi-fa-cai shirt all along. Irene bought the Indian shirt last minute.

"Do I look more like my daddy or my mummy?"

And then it's back to work on Monday.

By the way, Ryan is very manja these days, and very choosy. He dictates that his daddy holds his hand while he scoops food into his mouth, he dictates who to feed him, bathe him, wash his soiled buttocks... dunno where he learned from.
